Top Rail Styles
At Lindahl Aluminum we are committed to providing our customers with a variety of choices for guard rails and fencing.

Top Rail Profiles

The top rail is usually the focal point of the guard rail and the center body of the rails consists of either picket or glass inserts.

Picket Styles
Our picket styles range from:

  • 5/8” square – Standard Picket
  • 3/4” square
  • 1 x 1” square
  • 1 1/2” x 5/8”
  • 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”square
  • 2 x 1"
  • 2” x 2” square
  • 4” Privacy Panel

Pickets are typically spaced 4” apart. We can also fabricate your guard rails with 3” or 1 1/2” spacing to give a unique look to your home or project. The 4” privacy picket can be fabricated with no space for total privacy or equal spacing between panels.

Channels
Channels are the part of the guard rail on which you can rest your foot. As well, channels can be used as a decorative feature in your guard rail. Channels can be placed along the top part of your rail – under the top rail – and accessories such as rings or “x” designs can be added. Also, this area can be left open or pickets can be staggered through this area to add a unique look to your rail.

Posts
Posts are the critical part of the railing system, as they hold the guard rails firmly in place. This gives you the safety and stability.

Posts can be mounted to the top of your deck or to the fascia board. We must have a minimum of 5” of wood from under the drip ledge to the top of the gutter to side mount posts.

Posts also change the look of your guard rail. Our post selection includes:

  • 1 1/2" Posts
  • 1 3/4" Posts
  • 2” Posts
  • 2 1/2" Posts
  • 3” Posts
  • 4” Posts
  • 6” Posts
Accessories

We have several accessories to choose from. Accessories add beauty and a unique look to your fence or guard rails.

Choose from the following: Gallery-Accessories

Note: Inserts must be placed above 36” high in a 42” guard rail or glass must be placed in front of the designs to prevent anyone from climbing or standing on the design. The national Building Code refers to this as a toe-hold condition. Fences generally do not have many Building Code issues, therefore many more designs can be added.

Finishes
Lindahl Aluminum Railings Ltd. offers a wide variety of powder coat finishes to choose from.

Please refer to Powder Coating gallery for information on standard and custom color. Powder-Coating

Fasteners
Only stainless steel fasteners and bolts are used which are guaranteed to never rust or corrode. Along with the fasteners we use the highest quality polyurethane sealant to seal the fastener holes.

Maintenance
Lindahl Aluminum’s railings are virtually maintenance free unlike wood or steel rails. Our products will never rust or corrode and refinishing will not be required.

Mild detergent diluted with water is all that is required to keep your railings looking new. Never use acidic, harsh or abrasive cleaning products or cleaning pads on your railing products, as these may harm the powder coat finish.
